The engraving toolpath is a v-carve operation, which would require an appropriate cutter in corners. it could probably be changed to support a ball mill but i dont know if id expect that to happen, and it might look a little funny too if applied to that sort of toolpath. fwiw in hsmworks i use a ball mill and trace with a single line font.

Aug 18, 2019nbsp018332apparently my tool was just a few thou too big for the feature and the software wouldnt let me get toolpaths for it. i accidently had a smaller end mill in the program and it ran better but not the best toolpaths that i wanted. after spending the weekend playing with this and watching youtube videos i feel much more confident with cadcam.
